Before starting Scalero Custom Homes, Robert Scalero worked locally in the aerospace industry. He holds a Ph.D. degree in engineering from Florida Tech and has brought with him the math, engineering and computer skills that make homes designed and built by Scalero Custom Homes unique. He has established a reputation for quality construction, customer service and satisfaction, while winning numerous "Parade of Homes" awards for design and craftsmanship.
Scalero offers its customers a complete "in house" package which includes determining customer's needs, home design and specification, generating architectural plans, and construction of the home. The homebuyer is able to choose and modify a floor plan from a collection of originally designed and previously built copyrighted home designs, or they may want to start "fresh" to create a truly custom design which will better suit their needs.
Interior design and product selection are an integral part of Scalero Custom Homes' "in house" package. Company personal work closely with the customer throughout the design and construction phases, and if needed, provide guidance on the selection of colors and materials to be used in the home.
With the ever present threat of violent weather conditions along Florida's east coast, construction practices are a major concern of today's homebuyer. Scalero Custom Homes uses techniques that ease those concerns. The use of concrete block construction with formed and poured concrete tie beams, formed and poured window arches, tapered concrete columns, second story block walls, and poured concrete balconies are characteristic of a Scalero home.
